HERE II HERE vocalist and guitarist, Jaime Triana, was born in
Cali, Colombia. By age 7, he was already teaching himself to play
the acoustic guitar by ear. In Colombia, during his early years,
Jaime also began to develop his distinctive voice, with its rich,
indigenous resonance and earthy timbre. Shortly after moving to
Miami at 16, he began to study classical guitar. Later, he moved to
New York where he studied interior design at renowned FIT while
pursuing a solo musical career. After 10 adventurous years in New
York, an insistent inner voice led him back to Miami, where he met
Alex Perez and Ashley Ruiz. Thus began the musical experience,
Inner Voice, which would later become “HERE II HERE”. Jaime, Alex,
and Ashley would sing together to the sensual rhythms of Jaime’s
guitar for a few years, prior to the Itoh brothers’ arrival in
2004.
Growing up the youngest of five, Jaime’s greatest influence and
inspiration has always been his mother. “She has gone through
countless turns and detours in her life, and yet has always been
able to keep a free and loving spirit.” Other sources of
inspirations include “all the avatars and all the bringers of a
deeper meaning to Life. I have always been drawn to spirituality,
since I was a child.”
But Jaime’s true passion has always been music. “It’s the core of
my being,” he says. “Years ago, I set the intention of blending my
musical talent with a message of truth and love to sing for
humanity.” This dream is now realized with HERE II HERE.
