Excerpt from "How To Talk So People Will Listen" by Steve Brown from the chapter entitled Roadblocks To Communication
..."for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of the Father, who speaks in you." Matthew 10:20
Did you hear about the man who was sitting on a tack? Everyone was trying to help him deal with his pain. The preacher told him it wouldn't hurt so much if he would pray and study the Bible more. The sociologist said that his pain was due to the social institutions that had molded him. A psychologist said that the pain was intense because his parents had potty trained him wrong. His wife said it was because he had not learned to be in tough with his feelings.
Then a little boy came by and said, "Mister why don't you get off the tack?"
Some pincers have a tack lifter at the end of one handle. This is a V slot designed for sliding under tack heads. Tacks are easy to pull out because shanks taper sharply and the tack lifter on pincers will probably do the job. Nevertheless, it is not as good for removing tacks as a purpose-designed tack lifter which has a curved head and gives slightly better leverage.
